Austin Reed is to close all of it's 120 shops with the loss of 1000 jobs. Good quality shops in their day. Replaced now of course by Primark, Peacocks etc. A great place to get a suit with good service too.

Another good quality shop gone to the wall ,pity ,wonder if cheap import's has anything to do with it ,as austin reed was noted for its quality.

Peacocks is a very old firm.
They started in 1884 but just didn't have many stores around here, I used to see them all over the country in my travelling days. Perhaps they are more adaptable than Austin Reed, founded 1900.
Time will tell.
