Another Crooked car company falsifying emission results. What would the penalty be for killing your planet. I wouldn't be surprised if we found that they all do it.

Get your facts right SB, this isn't anything to do with emissions.
This is much worse, it hits customers in the pocket every time they fill the fuel tank.
Whilst I failed to see who would care about emissions I can definitely see that everyone cares about Miles Per Gallon.
If you buy a car expecting 40mpg and only get 35 then you have been conned with a direct and immediate financial affect.
On the other hand it seems only to affect 600,000 tiny little cars that probably do 100 mpg anyway and are only found in Japan.

The thing is that newspapers, motoring magazines and consumer groups have been saying for ages that people hardly ever get the fuel consumption claimed in the official figures, yet it is only now that there has been accurate checks which stand up. This must be because the marketing men in these companies have been putting pressure on politicians and other paid lackys to ignore the obvious.
