The sun is. Breaking through, it may be overcast but it's very warm. The bus I am on has the heating on. The windows were shut until I got on.
I started out with nothing and Iv'e still got most of it left

Yes its very muggy here and beginning to rain a little. I think we are going to have quite a downpour later. It must have rained heavily last night but I didn't hear it.

John,
Pictures looking good. A lot of work for one week.
I love to see these beautiful machines being brought back to life with a clearly good lining job.
Keep posting the pictures with your progress.
Lynn.

Thank you Lynn, I also like to see them and enjoy doing them, even though it becomes a bit repetitious after awhile.
I have to wait now until the next stage of the restoration is completed.
John,
Look forward to seeing the next stage, and the finished work.
May I ask, if I may, what is the History of the engine that is being restored.
Lynn.

Come to bed because this cold is making me feel very off,not sure if I am boiling hot because it is warm outside or what..............night night.
Good morning to everyone, heat wave ! it's damp and dismal here visibility about 100 yards.
Lynn, don't know much about the engine other than it was found in a field and is one of only 4 left in the world, 2 in New Zealand and another one in this country.
It's a 1912 Foden steam traction engine and when finished should look like this.
The cladding has to go round the boiler with brass straps and then be lined, as does the large fly wheel and its cover.
The photo is o fanother Foden but different year and type.

Great work John, not easily accessible those spokes are they. so you have 24 spokes both sides, is 96 spokes on the back wheels alone. without the front wheels and body parts. No wonder we havn't seen you. do you think he will want it done every year?
