I have to cool down, complete change of tack.
I must say some of todays advertising is very clever, seen in Newhall Street.

If you want the high life then perhaps you should follow the path (alleged) of the Mayor of wolverhampton below

Morning All,

Perhaps if the benefits people applied just a little common sense to claims and did a little more investigation before they paid out they could cut down on fraudulent claims.

That's not fair Phil, they would have to spend more time doing their job and less on Facebook.

At one time we used to use a café on the corner of Waverley Rd and Oldknow Rd. For those that don't know on Waverley Rd was biggest Labour Exchange (as they were called then) that served all the outlaying districts.

The café we used was opposite the entrance to the dole office. Dave (my uncle) and myself used to play spot the shopkeeper, now if we could spot local shopkeepers surely it wouldn't be very hard for an investigator to follow a couple of claimants home each day to check them out.

I wouldn't doubt that at all, because as I remember it ( I signed on there for three weeks in 1965) the signing hall was upstairs. I can't remember exactly but I think I got the sum total of £3 for my trouble. I thought a £1 a week wasn't much so I didn't bother signing again.

Morning Peops,

I think I will venture out today, spent last three days sorting out stuff at home because I didn't have a proper work plan, any excuse will do.

That's what I'm doing at the moment VM, sorting out tools and things, I could open another B and Q with the stuff I've got.
