Good morning your Holiness and everyone else.
Not a particularly bright start to the day but my Broadband is working again so I have no moans today.

Anyone who catches a bus into Birmingham please be aware that from 22nd july corporation st. Closes to traffic forever. All bus routes change. Trust me there will be a lot more walking to do.

Hard to imagine Corporation street without a line of buses.

i will be going into the city centre this week and will also get some pics of the last buses in corporation st..SB it will be very interesting to see how the new inter change system at moor st and the new innner tram service will affect visitors...for instance where are they going to put all the bus stops that are in colmore row..bull st and corporation st...i shall be watching how all this unfolds with great interest..

Lyn get hold of a plan, its going to be a nightmare. Some old people and disabled people from my area won't be able to get into town.

What? Difficult to get into Corporation Street?
Oh wait, that won't affect me, not even a little bit, I haven't been in Corporation Street for about fifteen years and I don't feel in the least nostalgic about wandering around in traffic fumes.
I expect there will be an increase in traffic on the routes I use to drive through town, when I have to go there on business, but that's only 4 -6 times per year.
In fact I only know a couple of people who still go into town. Solihull is just as good whilst cleaner, safer and just as near.

Good morning folks.

Morning all,
Corporation Street ain't what it used to be,are there any decent shops there anymore,I don't think so,where are they going to send the buses that are there at the moment.
I think pedestrianising is a good thing, most shoppers now head for the bull ring or New Street, surely one street isn't too much to ask to walk from.
We have a dual carrigeway in Brighton which is hardly used by buses, and the street running parallel to it 100 yards away is chocca with buses all day long, one way and only just wider than a bus, where's the sense in that.

A morning is a wonderful blessing, either cloudy or sunny. It stands for hope giving us another start of what we call life.

Have a good morning and a nice day.
