Good morning everyone, it seems nice but cold out there today. just the day for a funeral but at least we havn't got snow that would have been a real pain.
Well done Phil on your hard work and time spent yesterday making some changes. Things should be easier to find. I would ask all members to use the correct threads if possible it makes things easier to find and for us all to read your posts and for search engines to find us and hopefully bring us some new members. There are a few more changes and adjustments to be made yet, so you can expect more emails sent out by the forum robot if I make changes to a thread you have used.

Can I also remind those who take part that the weekly photo competition restarts tomorrow. Perhaps some of the newer members would like to take part. There are a few rules, the photo has to be one you have taken yourself and it can be any age and any subject (as long as it's fit for publication). Your technical ability does not matter as each photo is judged on its own merits and it's all just a bit of fun.

congratulations Lyn and Phil, so many babies hope the world is a better place for them when they grow up. been shopping today with my step son to buy his son who is 8 on tuesday some football boots and bought a football shirt as well, best part of £50. how can they justify £22 for a football shirt for an 8 year old and the boots were reduced from 34.00. I suppose they justify it because we silly people pay it. well grand dad going is to have shock when he gets in from work and i show him the receipt.

hope the funeral went ok sb, never very nice. i don t like seeing the hearse arrive, i dont know why but it always makes me shiver, i can cope with the service etc. and burials this time of the year are so cold.

being part welsh i have and i am sure i will still continue to do so but i have attended welsh services, where they are in lovely little chapels and we sing really old fashioned hymns, and the men singing in their welsh accents are as good as any concert. funerals in wales and i think up north are so more formal, its like going back into the past, i v been to a few where you are expected to kiss the coffin. when my dad passed away he was laid out in the front room over night and before he was 'lidded' as they called it we girls were expected to kiss the body. we declined but i know his siblings did.

It's not the price that they charge for these football strips, we all know that they are daylight robbery. It's the fact that they change them every 12 months or so and the no self respecting 8 to 16 year old will be seen dead in them, they just have to have the new strip.
