Had a really good day today.Paul Laidlaw from Antiques Road Trip came to film and he chose some great items and drove a very hard bargain.
The road trip have filmed twice this year so soon I will be on TV all the time as they keep repeating the programmes.Shame they don't pay lol

I'm surprised anyone in the antique business makes a living.
Most of what we see is dealers paying very little and selling at a loss. It must be a smoke screen.

The thing is, with these shows they are only dealing in knick knacks. The real money is in Fine Art and Furniture and items of that sort.

I suppose the dealers must have shops that we don't get to see and the rest are auctioneers who get paid from both sides.
It's a bit like estate agencies, the profit comes from getting things to change hands.
