Yes Astoness, we have at least one pair wheeling about. Yesterday I thought I saw more than two at one time so we may have an intruder, an offspring or another pair.
They look rather like pigeons from some angles so unless they fly quite close, or land in full view, they are not so easy to identify

well i think thats wonderful volty...my brother who lives only a couple of roads from me has a resident woodpecker...

I used to have Woodpeckers, now it's usually Strongbow or Scrumpy Jack.
