Yes we are being ripped off Phil, that's why everyone does everything themselves and there is no work.

Den, phil does his own highlights, thats how he keeps the cost down. Same with his eyebrows he waxes them using Duct tape.

Morning all

Lyn, I should think anybody up at 7.26 a.m. is rushing his or her socks off to get off to work and therefore has no time to say hello.

good day to you all, it is very windy, cold and looks like rain here today. just off to hair dressers, we have pensioner days where you can get all sorts of treatments for about £8.50. Phil have you tried the local college the usually have proper salons and barbers where you can get your hair cut etc really cheap.

have a good day everyone

Steph

You misunderstand me, I was commenting on how much some things seem to have gone up more than others and hairdressing seemed to be one of them. I don't mind paying £10 for a haircut, I've always spent a lot on my hair even when it was 3/6 for a haircut I never spent less than 10/- with a cut, wash, style, friction massage, blow dry and that was about once a fortnight. Mind you three of my mates at the time were hairdressers and they all worked in the same back street shop and they were kept busy, can you imagine that today?

phil, from your picture you have a lovely hair style, i am sure one of the others will comment.

my daughter, who lives in london was paying £100 for hair cut and colour, i think that a bit extreme.

must get on with my womanly duties, have a load of washing, ironing and cleaning to do.

Steph

But that my hair still looked like that today, I still have a penchant for growing it long but there is plenty of grey in it now. When my old mate started going grey he used to tint his hair until all the lads started teasing him about it. Anyway I don't think he has enough left to tint now.
