Quote: The Mitz wrote in post #25346I thought you get a free pass always when you reach 60. I know of people retirement ages that have gone up pension wise, but can still get bus passes
hi mitz my understanding is we are legible for a free bus pass when we reach retirement age and as you know that has all changed now...if i had been born just under a year earlier than i was my retirement age would have been 60
Our first experience of frosts since we moved back to the UK. It's a little chilly. I go to the Gym fairly regularly and therefore go out in shorts .... I'm sure some people here think I'm nuts
Slow Jo, You wrote too soon had a right downpour this afternoon.
Has anyone been to the Panto at the B'ham Hipp. went last night and to me it's the best one of the lot, laughed and enjoyed every minute of it and so did all I spoke to. seven of us in the party all said the same thing.

I loved growing up in Birmingham it was great, but over the years I have seen the change and what a shame. I would not live in Birmingham even if they offered me rent free. And that's from a born and bred brummie
Well, I was bought up in the countryside, but I've lived here for so long now I'm no longer a countryfile. The bottom line is though, that it depends where you live in Birmingham. As with everywhere, there are good and bad parts. Most of my time has been spent in Southern Birmingham ..... Solihul/Shirley area.

Mitz I disagree you cant even walk in places in Birmingham after dark, and there are places you cant walk in daylight You go and have a walk down Alum rock, Saltley and lots of other arrears I don't know were you live now but take a trip if you dare. And this is your country.. England your family and mine died for. Your country and you cant even walk down the streets. So what your saying is if you come from Solihull its ok.Move to Alum Rock and see what Birmingham offers you then. It makes me sick to see what Birmingham has become .
