There I were at 10am this morning, stood standing in New Street Station after arriving from semi distant parts, with the whole day at my disposal and what did I do?
I came home of course, if you think I am spending the rest of the day in the company of peasants and foreigners then think again.
Over the road to Moor Street station and onto a train to Acocks Green, a short but enlightening trip involving a number of firsts for me.

I know what many of you would have done, you would gone to a cafe and a museum and a pub and a gallery and done a bit of shopping. I stood on what used to be the corner of what used to be New Street and High Street and thought"No Thanks".
Even M&S didn't have the attraction it used to have. The only thing I learned is that the city centre is a modern mess and now I know where that bull is.
