Ive never been there lyn i must go one of these days
Evening all ,busy day helping next door neighbours son cut down some fir trees ,they were taking over ,and blocking out light from her window ,he was trying to do it with a hand saw ,so we used my scorpion saw much quicker.
went to avoncroft last year astwood...very good..i loved going round the old pre fab they have there...if you manage to get to the bcm dont forget to go into the bottle and glass pub...no fancy beers or lagers in there and complete with sawdust on the floor..there are 3 rooms so look in all of them....no matter how many times i visit i still marvel at how they moved all these buildings from in and around the black country and re built them brick by brick a a patch of waste land..it looks like they have always been there...
it is astwood..just a pity our forward thinking birmingham city council didnt think the same way back in the 60s...they should be ashamed of themselves..all we have on the same lines is the little back to backs and we had to fight to save them..rant over but it is something i feel very strongly about..
