Good evening everyone, we had a really nice day, we went to Winterbourne House and Gardens in Edgbaston with some good friends. Weather was kind to us and I bought a Monkey Puzzle Tree. When we got home i looked at my messages and went to collect my new glasses. Well pleased.

It's not far from The Botanical Gardens, Astwood. It was home to the Nettlefold family at one time (GKN) now it belongs to Birminghams Edgbaston University, It's open to the public but the University hold meetings there occasionally. http://www.winterbourne.org.uk/index.php.../botanic-garden I recommend as a nice place to visit. Excellent house, superb gardens and the tea rooms are really nice, a bit pricey but the quality is good. I money is an issue for anyone there are loads of places to have a picnic.

You can't beat it can you. Nice place nice company and nice weather, and not far from the City Centre, but you wouldn't know it.
