Please don't take offence but I think most of you have not reached old age yet, I i'm 80 next birthday and the brain tells me I am as good a driver, safe as anybody, I don't know what others think of me. You know what they say, don't judge others till You have reach there age. It's hard to think you can't drive, but i am sure I would have enough sense to know when it's time to throw the towel in if I thought I was dangerous on the road. Keep the Wheels Turning Charlie
Charlie I agree with Astoness, yes a very good post. some people retain their senses and to a greater age than you. Unfortunately a great many do not. Is fair then to wait until someone seriously injures themselves or others. I would say having drivers checked out may not be a bad thing. I would point out that some other younger people such as epileptics etc have their driving either stopped or restricted, this is for their safety and the safety of others.
