Experts say people will return to storing money under their mattresses if HMRC is given powers to collect unpaid tax

Would you stop banking your wealth if you thought that the tax man could get his hands on it. Would you feel safe with your money kept at home. After all banks don't pay much interest these days.

You'll note it is "Unpaid Tax" they will have the power to collect.

The person that owes the tax will be well aware of it.

I would say that, that is fair as long as the tax (un)payer has had a reasonable time to pay in the first place, and is notified immediately.

Decriminalising crime.
The latest way of making our useless police look less useless is to make less use of them.

Concerning the Police it was always a good idea to reduce Police funding by £millions then reduce manpower replacing pro's with CPSO's. On the cheap then up their targets and then blame the Police for not controlling crime. Same with the military. Cut the funding and find another war.

So this morning Our Foreign Secretary says no we will not take part in Air Strikes. This afternoon, we hear that no 10 says we will rule nothing out. Is there nothing that we can believe from this Government.
