How the hell is it going to cost £30 million to pull it down, I wish I was still in business. At one time before all these new regulations I could have done it for free and still made a profit. Even now that is absolutely silly money, but there again its only rate payers money.

Yes Phil, I nearly put your name forward, I reckon I could do it on my own with a few sticks of jelly and a couple of salvage vessels to cart it away it's not as though it's a danger to ships being so near the shore, even a dry dock erected around it wouldn't cost half that much.

Isn't any part of it reachable when the tide goes out. The water can't be that deep below it. Anyway with the right type of Machinery you would just have to keep working back on yourself. Give me a good scaffolder and a couple of barges capable of floating some heavy plant and I would do it by hand without a dry dock.

Phil, I still can't get my head round it, it's 20ft deep at the most and when the tide goes out you can (and I have) walked under part of it.
