denise i tried an allotment a couple of years back but found it too much for me...had to travel on a bus to get there and i really think that to tend them properly i needed to live very close or be able to drive so i had to give it up. well today i am very busy trying to find pics for someone who is visiting brum well in fact england for the first time..her ancestors came from here but emigrated to canada where she was born....ive got the names of roads.streets and schools etc so its quite a task and i dont have much time as there are a few of us going to meet up with her tomorrow..think she flies back on friday...

Back to work today for a rest. Since leaving work on Friday afternoon I managed to find two hours to myself. Most of it good fun, or very interesting but I am worn out. So bully here I come for a Belly recharge, and get stuck in to some hard labour. welcome back to work today Erdoglady's after your hand operation. SB

Denise

How times have changed, at one time it was the lads who joined clubs and societies for an excuse to get out for a drink. I suppose it only fair that the women now use the same excuse.

John,

There is nowt wrong with slipping down the local after a hard days (or couple of days) toil.

Good morning everyone, I won't shout too loud as I know some of you arn't up yet ARE YOU. Well so far it'a nice bright start to the morning here in Sunny Sheldon. Just off for a walk down to the sea. Alright the Lakes. Ok OK my ponds. It's not much of a walk But it gets me out of the house. I just hope the garden dries out a bit after yesterday's deluge. I got a fair bit of work to do, I have ignored it a bit lately, Bin a bit busy.

Morning from a damp ,dismal, windy morning here in Brighton.
Didn't go far on my stroll today, we have a photo exhibition all along the sea front, and one of the photos is of the West Pier with flocks
of starlings performing their evening ritual, taken a few years ago, I thought I would get the pier as it is now in the same photo.
What's the logic in this, £30 million to restore to its former glory- or £30 million to pull down, -so -it stays as it is because it's the only grade 1
listed pier in the country, crazy.
