Does anyone know, was the Atlas at Stechford ever a Cinema.? I have recently seen it described as "The Atlas Ballroom." No doubt Phil has spun a few lady's in there.

It was always a cinema, until it wasn't.

SB

The Atlas opened as a cinema on March 6th 1938 with a seating capacity of 1348. It closed as a cinema on 30th of May 1959. It then became the Atlas Ballroom and for your information I never spun anything in there, not even a tall tale.
