Wasn't this information released about three months ago? Lets be honest it wouldn't make much difference if they sold all the police stations. In fact if we took away their places to hide we might get more work out of them for the £500 pw basic pay that we pay them

This is not new, our police committee was informed of these changes last year. the Police cuts are absolutely vicious. Our area Birmingham East is supposed to be losing stations in the future as will the other areas. Most stations are not open to the public anyway.

It's the Police that are making the cuts, no one appears to be forcing them.

And who is this Commissioner Jones? This is the second time I have seen him mentioned. Wasn't I supposed to have been offered the chance to vote for a commissioner?

You were volty. Just like the inhabitants of the former eastern block used to be given the chance to vote for their representatives. Most of the candidates were politicians or lackeys of politicians. They were then given a large salary with nothing useful to do . Possibly commissionaires would be a better description

The Police are making the cuts yes, and yes they are being forced by massive budget cuts from central government, with more cuts to come.

There was an election for Police commisioner, it was very poorly advertised but you will have had a pack delivered to your house, apathy prevailed as usual with a very low turnout.

It isn't apathy when you don't get an invite.
I didn't get anything.
I don't know who was up for election or who the winner is or what they were campaigning on.
Nothing
No information at all.
Nada.
Nobody told me.
Nobody asked me.
I didn't know about it.
As far as I am concerned it was advertised that it would happen and then it didn't happen.
I'm still waiting for it to happen.
It might as well have been a secret vote among those with funny handshakes.

Was there a box to tick saying that there shouldn't be a police commissioner? How dare they tell us that we have got to vote for something we didn't ask for.

I do every chance I get, but certainly not when I call them out to a break in because they just don't come anymore.
