It would be a good start to do something about all the crooked solicitors, QCs etc who give rise to the ridiculous costs often by inventing points of law.

I wouldn't mind seeing an itemised account for these charges, I think you would find some pretty inventive accounting.

Who cares its only the tax payers money.

I care I'm a tax payer, do you know the tax man just threatened to take me to court over £127.00 that I had underpaid on one of my pensions over the last 7 years. I was hopping mad, of course I asked about all those who are fiddling millions every year, but no matter I paid up when he started to get the thumbscrews out.
