If you stand on railway tracks you get killed.
I thought everyone would know that.

Now they are blaming the government and the train driver.
It takes a mile to stop a fast train, the driver wouldn't have seen them soon enough to avoid hitting them.

Yet some people are just plain stupid. I remember a case reported when I was in Ghana of someone who had gone to sleep on a railway line and been run over, though, if I remember rightly the trains then went at about 20 mph , so the driver would have had more chance to stop in that case

Mike, that sounds like pre-planned delayed suicide.
In any event Darwin had the right idea, I'm sure he would deplore our current UK nanny state.
