There have been similar cases reported elsewhere, though I don't think any of those had as mnay animals as this case. SB - you ask about the sanity of these people. It would seem to me that the mental health of the couple should definitely be under question

What I don't understand is quite how they amassed all these animals. Most responsible animal rescue centres want to do a home visit to see what sort of environment the animal is going to. I know because in recent years I have had three such visits.
All I know is that we have Two Cats, Three Rabbits, about sixty fish in the ponds. My wife also looks after wild birds, a Squirrell and a family of Hedgehogs. That keeps us busy enough, So how in gods name anyone could keep that many dogs without employing a kennel maid. No-way was all those dogs being exercised enough. They would also cost a kings ransom to feed. Never mind the Vets bills, (If they ever got to the Vets.)
