Welcome Astwood,my daughter owns the old Forge in Jiggins Lane. I lived in Northfield for over 20 odd years. My two local watering holes were The Beeches and the Highlander, with an occasional foray into the Wood cock.

Hi signman Thanks for the welcome mate the pubs you mentioned Ive used them all since i moved up here in 1982 sadly the beeches has gone i was using the woodcock up till last christmas till all of my old mates passed away I use the coldstream in frankley now i live in the new houses opposite the highlander So your daughter own the old forge its an old place aint it i go by it sometimes when i go to the Cock astwood
