Sad story, Meningitis baby

A one year old baby with Meningitis after suffering multiple apmutations is due to come home.
It makes me realise how lucky I was. After being rushed into the old Birmingham Childrens Hosptal, I was diagnosed with Meningitis. I was Baptised in hospital as the Doctors didn't expect me to make the next day.
As that was in 1950 I know just how lucky I was. A district Nurse spotted my symptoms and rushed me into town in her Morris Minor. This was after our Doctor told my mother "not to worry he's just got a chill". I used to remind that Doctor of that at every opportunity.
