Well done Andrew, here in Brighton the stupid council pay two guys to go round covering up walls etc with graffitti and at the last one I
BELIEVE THE COST WAS ABOUT £5.000, there are many talented youngsters in Brighton who would have loved to have been let loose on
a project like that and at no cost to anyone other than their materials.

Something like that is a work of art, but paid graffiti that is no more than glorified tagging is no more than vandalism. How can you pay someone for doing something that you fine somebody else for?

We have a small company in Birmingham, they operate out of The Custard Factory in Digbeth. They are professional Graffiti artists. they paint on a fence on the high Street next to the Irish Centre. They are very good too.

I agree with John, it doesn't matter how good they are, graffiti should not be allowed anywhere (I do not include artwork such as that you linked to) You can't ban one aspect of it yet praise another and pay for it with public funds.

I hope you don't mind, but on the subject of poppies, I have just been sent a poem that I think would sit rather well in this thread.

A POEM FOR THE POPPY ABUSERS

This land was built from blood and tears,
the sacrifice of 2000 years .
The Romans came, the Vikings too,
so why would we be afraid of you ?
But mark my words and mark them well,
it was 1066 since we last fell .
When it comes to a fight, we hate to lose.
So respect our dead, or leave, you choose!
