I was discussing this with her next door just the other day,
Seems so unfair, they would end up in the court of human rights.

I don't care either way myself, I would rather the whole of the monarchy was done away with and then they could do what they liked with their ill gotten gains.

So you would have liked Blair, Brown, Cameron as a President would you.

No Brown or Cameron would certainly have never made president because neither of them were elected, they both made the top job by default. I didn't vote for Blair who thought he was president anyway so I couldn't be blamed for that disaster.

The Queen is not there for the power that she has, The Queen is there for the power that she denies anyone else.
Considering the complete shower of misfits in parliament at present ( and for many a long year ) who would you have as head of state. Mavis the Commons cleaner. She would probably be more trustworthy.

As far as I am concerned they could hold a national lottery of everybody who wanted to be considered and that passed certain criteria.

Two of the criteria would have to be that they would have to be sane and not corrupt. That would at least get rid of all the peripheral royal family ( and some of the none-peripheral like charles and his whorrible wife), and most politicians

I think love 'em or hate 'em, they are the least of this county's problems.
