Surely we have learnt at leat one thing about these bankers (not quite the word I should use), and if we have it is. They just don't care what the rest of us who pay for all these junkets think. They think they are special and are entitled to anything that they want. They will continue like this ubtil someone comes along with the guts to put a stop to it.

Who is going to put a stop to it. Our MPs won't do it they are just as rotten.

SB

We just have to suck it up, no one is going to put a stop to the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. It's been that way since money was invented and it's not going to change until we have a revolution.

So we have a revolution all that would do is replace this lot with another lot without an election. do you really think things would be any better.?

Communism, but not the Communism that we have seen being practiced up to now, and what is laughingly referred to as such by the states that are governed by it now.

Good idea communism - everybody's equal, trouble is some people are more equal than others.

Yes, that has been the problem each time it has been tried. In each society there has to be those who manage the community to make sure that it works. Technically they have do be more equal than others, but this doesn't mean they should live in luxury while others live in squalor. Until these problems can be ironed out Communism will have to remain a beautiful concept, but sadly not a feasible one.

Trouble is the grass is always greener etc. plenty of countries would love to have our system. That was fine until our bloody Politicians started to give our country and our wealth away. Just what is their Agenda, it's certainly not what's best for this country and it's people.

I'll tell you what their agenda is, to make as much money as they can before it is discovered that they are only in it for the money. Not the pittance they get for being an MP, nor what they can fiddle on the expense account. Its all the other jobs they can get by just being an MP or an ex MP, and just look at all the money retired PM's and Cabinet Ministers make and you will see what I mean.

I'm of the opinion that all MP's wages should be pegged at £50,000 per year and all expenses should be scrutinised and accounted for with a realistic limit on what can and cannot be claimed for. Oh yes one last thing no second jobs allowed and all parliamentary committees to be non paid appointments. I don't think we would get so many applications to be MP's but more of those that we did get would be genuine.
