Girl Dies After Falling From A Drayton Manor Ride

#1 by Sheldonboy , Tue May 09, 2017 8:19 pm

An 11 year old girl fell from a fairground ride at Drayton Manor. Are the boundaries being pushed too far with these rides.

Saw this on central news, she was on a school trip, and fell out of one of these round boats on a water ride.

Surely a ride like that they should be strapped in, if they don't drown they could be crushed by the car.

Maybe they will make them strap in after this tragedy

You would hope so, but this isn't the first one.

Central news said a lad fell out 3 years ago but a member of the public managed to pull him out.

It would seem common sense for them to be trapped in.

been on this ride many many times its my favourite ride at drayton manor ..i just get off and get on again..this ride in my opinion is perfectly safe so long as the rules are not broken and you are not doing something you should not be doing... there are also cameras all around the ride.. although not impossible its most unlikey the girl drowned its not that deep so my guess is she hit her head on something after falling from the boat which again in my opinion can only happen if you stand up..having said that strapping in children of a certain age could be a good idea..

Good comment Lyn, thoughI think "a certain age" is probably, in some cases, below 30
