There was plenty of old armament still floating about in the UK after the war. I remember in the fifties and we used to swap bullets & shells at school.

Of course I was born after the war so we had Cigarette cards and Marbles.
I started out with nothing and Iv'e still got most of it left

I too was born after the war, but we still swapped bullets and shells. remember one lad who became a good mate of mine after we left school who shot himself in the leg. He put a bullet in a vice and hit it with a hammer.
I also remember a job we were on in Maxstoke Street Small Heath in the 70's that was stopped because we found a load of WW2 mortars stored in the cellar.
I wouldn't have minded so much about the Maxstoke St job, but by the time the MOD had cleared the mortars the client had changed his mind about the job so we never got to finish it.
