I am envious of the dog, I would love one but we were tied to the house for so long we have decided not to have another at least for the present.
My internet was off for a while again earlier. Anyone considering having BT Internet, in my experience it's crap.

My record was three and a half hours combing him. Then he rolled in some mud 15 mins after over the park.

Broadband.
I had Virgin for years, over BT copper line, it was often broken even though the phone still worked, Virgin blamed BT so I switched to BT.
I have now had BT for a few years. It often breaks but BT don't blame anyone, they just take no notice.
In order to check your line you have to go on the internet. Even when that is possible the check doesn't work because it cuts you off mid check and you have to start again, ad infinitum. If you do decide to report the fault you will find that there will be a charge of £127 if the invisible fault isn't located outside of your premises, including the garden.
The broadband comes and goes as does the phone line, either one can break while the other works.
The problems vary from loose wires in the street junction box to rotted underground cables. We are now on the last usable pair in the street cable.
What really annoys me about the self serving up their own arses patronising lying thieving bog brains at BT is how much they charge for an utterly inferior service whilst not giving a toss for the fact that I can be totally cut off for a whole week without any chance of a refund on the extortionate charges for broadband I couldn't use or inclusive daytime calls I have paid extra for. You can apparently send them your mobile phone bill for consideration, unless of course you happen to be pay and go because you don't trust the telecoms mafia with your bank details,in which case you get stuffed with a second phone charge, no refund and no internet access. They will divert all your calls to your mobile phone but in a multiperson household you either have to leave your phone at home or become a messaging service, I also suspect this is chargeable. You can't even complain to the Ombudsman on one of their hundred page complaint forms because you would need BT's permission to do so.
Summary? BT are absolute crap, everyone else is worse.
