Who Would Smoke in Australia

#1 by Voltman , Mon Jan 30, 2017 11:12 am

Why would anyone smoke anywhere?
Perhaps it's because the governments who enjoy the tax income from tobacco don't want to rock the boat too much, and the countries where these foul products are still being produced are scared of upsetting the tobacco firms.

Australia has a different outlook,

Absolutely agree Volty, it's a filthy habit. Remember the old advert, if you smoke you stink. It's still true today.

No problem with smokers, some people don't care who they inflict it on. Some are very considerate.

I can totally understand how hard it is to give up, but with all the bad publicity and especially the price of them I can't understand why so many still start. My wife's dad didn't start smoking until he was well into his Forties for some reason. A few years later he got a circulation problem and lost his leg.
