Steelhouse Lane Police Station

was invited to the closing ceremony of this station last week..great to be able to walk around the lock up cells etc..took plenty of piccies and this video of the lowering of the flag. awful cold wet and windy weather which matched the mood..then a mins silence and final tribute..hope this works ok...125 years of police history gone..

I have had trouble trying to post pictures too, even when I resized them

I tried it before making a comment and it worked for me using a rather large 1mb file.
Are you having trouble uploading the file?

Are you sure Jo it didn't open until 1892.

I know the custody block is a grade II listed building, not sure about the station? I hope that it does not end up being demolished!
