Oil based paints can take several weeks to dry depending on the thickness of the coat applied

If you had instant drying paint I could n't rip people off by doing wet paint signs.

In the hotels I work in or is it at? whatever, they use very quick drying, low or no odour paint.
They can paint a room in the morning and let it on the evening.
