How can this happen?
"Croydon tram overturns: Five trapped and 40 injured"

It's much worse than first thought.
"Croydon tram: Seven dead and 50 injured after derailment"

Now they are saying the tram was speeding.

terrible tragedy...early days yet but its looking like it was driver error..

On the TV news it was stated that the tram was going much faster than the permitted speed for that part of the track, and that there had been anecdotal (admittedly) reports of this often happening. If that is true then it is a bit more than error

Trams have remarkably small wheels to travel at speed. Our own new Trams travel at a fair old speed to and from Wolverhampton.

Update on the Croydon Tram Sadly six men and one Woman died

Sky news ,one of those men who died was only 19 years old ,just a kid really ,from what a eye witness said he was going to fast on that bend .
