Con Hung,
Not here please.
This thread is just for a competition where we try to remember or guess the location of buildings shown in old photographs.
Perhaps it would be best to put your pictures in your Vietnam thread, where we can all enjoy them. Not all members visit this thread.

Yes Con Hung, We do talk about streets but they are all in Birmingham.

You will find some of them on this google map.....http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&ie=U...2,0.041113&z=16
Some of them are now gone because of new buildings and some have new names.

Denise, I believe Con means that the speaker is younger that the person they are talking to.
Bac means that the person speaking is old enough to be a parent of the younger person they are talking to.

Interesting.[Happy]

As Hero wants to improve his English for his job prospects I think we should help him speak English.

The con and bac thing is interesting but if he includes them in an English sentence he will not make sense .

How about knowing what to call people?

A man is known as Mr sounds like mister

A woman who is not married is known as Miss

A woman who is married is known as Mrs sounds like mis sis

Night night
