Failed Military Coup in Turkey

#1 by Voltman , Sun Jul 17, 2016 10:47 am

On Friday night a large part of the Turkish military tried to take over the country by force.
Not only did they make a mess of it they also got a lot of people killed or injured.
The numbers of people involved are quite amazing.

I think the coup was staged by the government to get rid of any opposition

They would not have staged it, but might well have known of it and used the excuse to get rid of people who don't agree with their dubious point of view
