I was 8 years old in forty seven but remember going up town as she called it with my mom ,thought it was a wonderful place to go .it has changed so much since I left brum in 75, still think of it as home though.

I can't find any evidence that Yardley Old Grammar School / Trust School was ever a King Edward VI Grammar School.
It would probably have had to be a Chantry before becoming a school.
