Child Snatched by Aligator

The Police say the two year old will be dead. It's an awful tragedy but there can't be any doubt really can there.

Knowing there was a no swimming sign on the lagoon the parents
should have kept the child well away from the water

Sky news tonight , 2 year old playing on the edge of the water, the parents relaxing on the man made beach .Police said it is now a recovery, not a search .Dont think they will find much to recovery.

Yet another couple who will live to regret their mistakes.

Apparently the lake, which is actually inside Disney, is connected to the main water area which is known to have lots of alligators on it. My comment that it was stupid for Disney to have a lake connected like that ( to someone who's been in the area) got the response that around there you get alligators wandering around a lot of places, golf courses for example (those of you who know of my allergy to golf will realise that this makes me think much more favourably about the reptile)

I on the other hand would have an allergy to Alligators.

At least on golf courses the participants aren't just two years old and they are carrying weapons.
Disney have no defence for this.

I think it's been proven enough times this year, wild animals and people especially children do not go together.

The Disney warning at the edge of the lake was about not swimming there.
If it said aligators were active in the area then people would have understood the danger.
The kid wasn't swimming, he was under the vigilant observation of his parents while having a paddle in a family pleasure resort.

I used to be a big fan of Disney and their parks, visits were a magical experience, but in the last twenty years I have come to realise that they care not about the visitors but only about the profit margin.
For example, their ticket pricing is a major con trick that exudes distrust. Like many large leisure company's they talk the talk but can't walk the walk.

I hope Disney get screwed big time over this, but given their high status in America and their power in the yankee government I suspect it will be swept under the carpet and forgotten, like all previous occurences that were bad for public relations.

I'm afraid I've always held that opinion about Disney, not just recently, though their lack of interest in their customers certainly seems to have got worse in the last few years

Maybe it should be signed as a Safari Park.
