I have seen a TV programme about this. It is { or was } the biggest open span building in the world. All components are ordered well in advance and have to be delivered at a specific time and date or the suppliers are in trouble. The floor all through the line is marked off in times, if the plane isn't at the correct spot at a specific time, the production workers are in trouble. The whole place is run with absolute precision.
