We ask again should older people be re-tested. I know most are ok. But who's decision should it be.

People are much to old to drive at that age

Think 80 year old should not be driving,there reactions are not quick enough for today's traffic conditions.all should have a free bus pass.

It's a terrible accident, but no one crashes into any one on purpose he or she may have had a heart attack, when you reach the age of 80 as i'am nearing, if you have been driving from the age of 21 you feel confident on the road, but I can remember when I was in my 60s thinking the same as you do now, I don't dive a lot now just about once a week into Redditch for my shopping, my biggest moaning now is about them silly old buggers pushing baskets to slow in front of me. Until we know the facts we won't know if it was the sort of accident a twenty year old might have.
It isn't unknown for school kids to wander across the road in groups like they own the place, or step into the road without looking.
Many drivers swerve under such circumstances because they never learned to brake first.

I didn't say 80 year old people should be stopped from driving. I didn't say this was this lady's fault. What I asked was should 80 year olds and over be re tested. if they prove to be competent no problem.
