The Coward Assange

#1 by Voltman , Thu Feb 04, 2016 11:08 am

This is the most ridiculous thing you will hear this week, should it prove to be true.

The United Nations has poked their nose into our affairs and declared that Julian Assange has been unlawfully detained.
He is holed up in a foreign embassy of his own accord and at the invitation of Ecuador. He went there to escape the law.
We aren't a third world despot, he would be treated quite well if he subjected himself to British justice.

"A UN panel has ruled Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has been "unlawfully detained", the BBC understands."

Now is the time to drag him out, give him a good kicking and put him on a plane to Sweden.

We did not do that when the policewomen was murdered outside the Libyan embassy, so we can scarcely do it now to Assange.

Yes Mike,
A shameful lapse of our sovereignty. It seems nothing was learned from that as far as foreign embassies are concerned.

I can't see why we shouldn't break off diplomatic relations with Ecuador. They are a dubious bunch At best.
The only one I ever knew was a bit of a crook and his Spanish wasn't so good either.

Diplomacy and Sovereignty are all vitally important, until it suits someone to ignore them.

It gets worse, now the Unbelievable Nutcases at the UN have said he should be compensated.

If he stands trial in Sweden, for rape, and the case is unproven he can go free. His detention has always been down to his own actions so he should compensate himself.

He won't get that until his knighthood is confirmed.

He's still out on bail, this means the honours list will have to drop him for yet another year.
