I have in the past been against arming Police. But these days we have to grow up and accept the fact that our Police need to be armed.
This article points out that London is getting 600 more Police with guns.
So as long as London is safe.......................................................................

When I say" As long as London is safe".
What I mean is, "what about Birmingham" it's long been known that Birmingham is a major target,

They class us as less important than london its always been the same

Capitals are the main targets so that is where you start with increased protection.
When Birmingham gets some police officers I'm sure they will also be offered arms.

Birmingham has long been seen as a serious terrorist target. It would be more difficult to cope with threats as most are for soft easy and crowded targets.

I think that you seem to be saying Volty that you don't consider Birmingham to be threatened. If so I hope you are correct in this assumption. But unfortunately I think you may be well off.
