evening all, I had one of those days where lots of memories return - a trip to the past so to speak, our government has decreed that every power meter (the old mechanical type)in every house has to be removed and new digital ones installed, these are digitally read over the powerline, theres no choice big fine if u stop access for the change. anyway ours is located under our staircase inside the house - but also in there is my old record collection. So I had to move 2000 singles and about 600 LPs plus cassettes and in front of them videos and CD/DVDs, so about 2.5 hours to take them out. But thats where the funny bit started, as I put them back I could not resist putting them back in order as they are numbered, the wife thinks im barmy. but as I did I found myself stopping and putting them on the turntable for a spin. I had forgotten I still have lots on memories in there, my very first purchase - Bimbo on 78rpm, some sandie shaw, max bygraves, a very limited edition Beatles EP set in coloured vinyl, Ive found some special rare stuff in there that I priced years ago, few bucks in there if ever I want to sell, but I wont, bet the kids will soon as ive popped off, even turned up some records signed by the singers, Del Shannon, Paul Anka, Cliff Richard. That led me to the cassette stack to my surprise I found the original interview I did with Del Shannon just three days before he committed suicide ( and before you ask it was not my interview techniques that caused it) , I still have a professional cassette deck stored away in the garage, so dug it out and listened to the tape on headphones, but I am compelled to want to put it on the PC - so looks like I will have to buy a cassette to PC converter from China. I have a feeling much to the annoyance of the wife that our rumpus room sound system is going to have work out for a month or so till Christmas, one good thing I found Nutbush and Bus Stop which is a big plus as I promised two of my granddaughters I teach then those dances if I ever found the records, so now I can. night all

You should enjoy your collection TCA, that's what you collected for, it's a shame to just store it all away for a
It always takes me a few days to tidy my wardrobes and cupboards, I get sidetracked and what should be the work of a few hours just drags out while I play with stuff, start reading things, etc.
