I think our electric's need checking, every time we put the heating on, the outside light comes on as well.,only started recently.

Thats been happening here for years Jo. The exhaust from the heating affects the sensor for the outside floodlights.

As I have said before Lyn none of this is a surprise, it was all predicted years ago. Thats why the Thames barrier was build at enormous expense and opened in 1982. Since then with this knowledge the government all but stopped dredging the rivers and drainage ditches and left our old Victorian drains to cope and they are not cleaned out often enough anyway.

Now it really is chucking it down.
Nearly horizontal and partly frozen.

The outside temp has just dropped from +6c to -0.5c in a few minutes.

That was snow SB, it was just moving so fast it seemed like hail.
Now the wind has slowed a bit it is snowing here as well.
