evening all....heard there has been at least 3 deaths from falling trees...my son nearly ran into one on the walsall road this afternoon..

One pedestrian think it was london way killed when a tree fell on her,terrible shock for her family.

Think what made it worse this time ,some trees still have leaves on and they all catch the wind ,so it increases the pull of the wind .

The trouble is, many are forest trees. By the roadside they havn't got the ground to spread their roots, so the base is very shallow. So give them a good wind and down they come.
