evening all....heard there has been at least 3 deaths from falling trees...my son nearly ran into one on the walsall road this afternoon..

One pedestrian think it was london way killed when a tree fell on her,terrible shock for her family.

Think what made it worse this time ,some trees still have leaves on and they all catch the wind ,so it increases the pull of the wind .

When these trees were planted by the roadside they looked good as young trees. The trouble is, many are forest trees. By the roadside they havn't got the ground to spread their roots, so the base is very shallow. So give them a good wind and down they come.

Trouble is councillors dont think like that, they think it makes the area look good, not thinking that they are going to grow big.
