I find it fascinating that the existing buildings of 1840 were already 100 years old when the new hospital opened in them. A fact that didn't prevent the amazing work and expansion that followed.

so astwood to recap..the building that was queens hospital bath row where your grandad died in 1929 is still there..nice to know that..makes a change from me banging on about how many fine buildings this city has lost and is still losing...oops im banging on again...
