RE: Open All Hours - 260

Evening all ,what a day 2 thunder storms today ,one lunchtime, one about half five. my wife really don't like them .it really frightens her as when she was a kid, she saw a thunderbolt hit a house roof and the chimney stack just flew apart, shes never forgot it.

Good evening Joe I hope you wife is ok now. I thought we was going to get a storm about 6.30 but it passed.

Evening S B shes OK now thank's,hope that last one is the end of them,if it happens in the night, she has to get up so do I she wont stop upstair's she reckons if lightning hits ,it's always the roof, so she want's to be away from it.

She gets her bad nerves from her dad ,he went and sat on the stairs in a thunderstorm ,but his wife use to ridicule him about it ,that certainly did'nt help him,she was a real nasty piece of work.

Joe it's all very well ridiculing people who are afraid of lightening, but although very rare, lightening can actually kill you.

To true mate,I red sometime back 1 bolt of lightning could run a small town ,for 3 weeks if it could be harnessed.

Evening all ,a wet day today,think summers over.I was talking to my wife ,asking what she would like for a anniversary present ,she said something nice and shiney and goes from nought to 150 in a couple of seconds,so I got her a new set of bathroom scales.
