It doesn't use less space it's an extra to the normal reply box.

night all...im ok with the quick reply box its much faster than the other way of posting... although i dont have an internet phone so i cant speak for how they perform

I enabled the quick reply box as an experiment.
I tried it and it worked but I didn't really see any great advantage in it as it appears at the top of the page and so does the reply button.
I have now disabled it as there is insufficient, if any, gain in it to outweigh any problems it has caused.

We need to maintain a useful interface with all methods of access. I use Mac, iPad and windows so I can usually see both the best and the worst of our web interface, but the best judges are our members.
Whilst there are many things beyond our control I will continue to try out any of these features that are available to us. Feedback is essential for a fair implementation of them.
