Sugar Tax, Or Not To Tax.

This is a hell of a report for the house of commons today.
It's a good job there are no important world issues to discuss.

Why dont they take the sugar out of it when they make it?

With all this trouble abroad,and all the steel works going to the wall ,thousands of men losing there jobs ,this lot not lifting a finger to help them ,and they worrying about bloody sugar .

Some things could probably be edible with reduced sugar, possibly biscuits, and for some products such as soft drinks artificial sweeteners could replace sugar. I think that is OK. In fact I usually only drink soft drinks which are low calorie. Trouble is there are some people who will probably say that artificial sweetened drinks should have a tax on them as well as they "Aren't nutricious". You can make boiled sweets with low calorie products rather than sugar (like those for diabetics), but the trouble is that these can have the effect of giving you what is politely called "anal leakage" (I will explain if necessary. You can't make chocolate that tastes any good without sugar (well not yet), but then some people (like Americans) are said to like Hershey bars, and if your taste buds are as bad as that then you probably would like anything , however bad tasting

Thanks Mike good post. Iv'e never tried Hersheys, maybe now I wouldn't.

Hershey "chocolate" is more of a candy than it is a chocolate.
To get people to eat it they come up with things like Hershey's Kisses.
