Hello Forum people. I am a newbie and looking forward to reading through all the posts. Thank you for allowing me to join. I will try my hardest to stick to all the rules and hope to contribute from time to time.

Hello Maggs, Welcome to the forum. Please don't feel like a "newbie", you have as much right to take part as anyone here.
You will find that the "Latest Posts" link at the top of the page will show our more active threads. We have covered a whole range of topics over the years, if you find any that interest you then don't hesitate to revive them, just dig in.
Quote: Maggs wrote in post #12Well you certainly sound a fun bunch so I should feel at home here. I will post something of interest (I hope) if I ever get to the end of all the posts that have gone before. (Might take a while!)
Maggs just join in at any time, if you agree or disagree with anything just get stuck in. The best place for an everyday comment is Open All Hours. It was started by Lyn (Astoness) five years ago. It was to keep her quiet (didn't work of course).
Hi again everyone. To answer your question Astoness..I was born in Winson Green, Grew up in Sparkbrook, moved around a bit after marriage and settled in Castle Bromwich. Been here donkeys years now. My question is that I want to post a question about asylum records but don't know where to put it on this Forum. Any suggestions?
